Home Page

The Town of Guilford was settled in 1761, so we're celebrating our 250th birthday in 2011 with the best 250th of any Vermont town, befitting our status as the state's most populous town in the first census in 1790. It'll be the the longest, too, running for the whole year! We'll have events every month and our big weekend in mid-August, with a dance, a giant parade, barbecue, sports events, fireworks and a union church service, among many other highlights. Here's a tiny sampling:

A Different Dance Each Month
Sledding Party * Cross-Country Ski Race
Exhibit by Guilford Artists * History Tours
Plays & Concerts * Guilford Film Nights
Neighborhood Events * Farm Celebrations
Parade & Fireworks * Church Services
Guilford Composers' Concert
. . . and tons more!

We invite people from every other town in the world to join us! Check here frequentlyfor announcements. For immediate info, contact a co-chair: Addie Minott (802-254-5910, pulpitfm@myfairpoint.net) or Don McLean (802-257-1961, inscapevt@myfairpoint.net).
