● Guilford 250th Anniversary Celebration - 2011 ●

A modest number of enthusiastic folks showed up for visits to two Town Cemeteries, led by members of the Cemetery Commission. Carpenter Hill and Blanchard are both early cemeteries, and both contain markers from the 1770Õs. It was noted that the day featured two examples of artistic endeavors from early days: Tombstone carving and Painted Theater Curtains, as our evening attention turned to a fine talk and presentation at the Grange, given by M.J. Davis of Curtains Without Borders.
